Ad Crucem Icon - ICXC Jesus Christ Pantocrator

$ 42.00

 This image of Jesus comes from an icon in the Hagia Sofia, an early Byzantine cathedral. It is a deesis, a depiction of Christ enthroned in majesty. The Greek letters ICXC are a Christogram meaning Christ Jesus, and the NIKA means "He conquers."

 This icon is printed directly onto a wood background with a traditional red frame. By contrast, our competitors print their icons on paper and then glue them to wood. Generations of Christians have kept replicas of this icon in their homes or churches as a reminder that Jesus is the ruler of the universe (pantocrator means ruler of everything).
