Presenting Tanya Nevin's beautiful Baptism painting. This one is 6”x6” on wood panel, painted in acrylics. The shell has an iridescent gold wash so that it’s luminous, and the water drops have a white iridescent was as well. The border is also iridescent gold. The Greek is the word for “Christ,” and the anchor is an ancient Christian symbol for the hope we have in Christ beyond this life (also Hebrews 6:19-20a "We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain where Jesus has gone"). The 3 red dots in each corner are symbols for the blood of Jesus in the places He was pierced for us; two hands above, feet together below.
