This is a reproduction of the title page of the original German edition of the Book of Concord (1580)
The Book of Concord was published in German on June 25, 1580, in Dresden, the fiftieth anniversary of the presentation of the Augsburg Confession to Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Augsburg. A subsequent authoritative Latin edition was published in 1584 in Leipzig.
This reproduction has the benefit of modern digital technology to achieve perfect alignment, color reproduction, and line spacing whereas the original document has several layout problems reflecting the difficulty of printing press technology at the time. In other words, if the printers of 1580 had access to today's technology, this is what the Title Page would have looked like.
The print is available in two variants - white background or parchment colored background.
